Kinissis International Festival is a festival of movement techniques. It programs training for professionals and students of contemporary dance, taught by renowned artists and companies in Latin America, Europe, and other regions of the world.
Its editions are annual and its format is immersive; around seven hours of daily training, its schedule includes complementary activities that aim to build an ecosystem rich in opportunities for the development of national and Latin American performing arts.
The Department of Dance is conceived as a basic unit of the Faculty of Arts, where the academic staff, through the integrated exercise of fundamental activities - undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, artistic creation, research, and extension - develop and cultivate the disciplinary field of their expertise with excellence and relevance. Through the systematic, periodic, public, propositional, and experimental practice of their specific disciplines, they confer an identity that particularizes it.
